Valentina Sala is Doctor in Molecular Biotechnology with a PhD in Molecular Medicine at the University of Turin (Italy). She has 15+ years of experience in biomedical research in the cardiovascular and pulmonary fields. She is author of more than 25 publications on peer reviewed international journals, including Nature Communications, Circulation and Science Translational Medicine. She is currently Head of Scientific Affairs and member of the Executive Committee at Kither Biotech, an innovative biopharmaceutical company focused on rare respiratory diseases, where she has overseen nonclinical studies and safety assessment of a novel peptide-based drug for inhalation therapy in chronic obstructive diseases, like COPD and Cystic Fibrosis.
