Download Paper

Dr. Sharon Shui Yee Leung completed her PhD (Chemical Engineering) in the University of Sydney in 2012. After her PhD, she joined the Faculty of Pharmacy in the University of Sydney with interest in developing technology platforms for the production of engineering particles for respiratory delivery. Then, she joined the School of Pharmacy at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2018. She is interested in developing bacteriophage formulations to enable them in mitigating infections associated with multidrug-resistant bacteria. Together with her collaborators, they published several key articles on preparing and characterizing inhalable bacteriophage formulations. Recently, she has extended her research interests to two classes of bacteriophage-encoded proteins, endolysins, and depolymerases, as alternative/supplement to conventional antibiotics.
