Paper: Minimal amounts of sodium chloride combined with leucine improve aerosol performance of spray-dried vardenafil powders for inhalation

Download Paper

As a PhD student at the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering in University of Nottingham Ningbo China, I have been active in the field of pharmaceutics, attending domestic and international conferences and workshops. My research efforts have centered around aspects of inhalation science for an improved delivery efficiency. We focus on dry powder processing of novel inhalable particles such as nanoparticles, porous particles, and carrier free based inhalation formulation via particle agglomeration. The currently developed spray dried inhalable particles with surface modification demonstrated a superior fine particle delivery efficiency within a wide range of air flow rates. The modified formulation showed negligible cytotoxicity in lung and improved bioavailability compared with commercial oral dosage products.
Our lab also works in close collaboration with Suzhou Inhal Pharma Co Ltd who is a leading startup in this region and dedicates in the research and development of new inhalation products to maintain lung health and mitigate the suffering of pulmonary disease for people all over the world.
