Paper: Development of an Immunogenic Spray-Freeze-Dried Powder Vaccine Against SARS-CoV-2

Harry Pan is a final year PhD student in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy at The University of Hong Kong. He read pharmacy at University College London with a scholarship from Singapore’s Ministry of Health and graduated with first-class honours in 2014. Thereafter, he completed his pharmacist pre-registration training at the Singapore General Hospital and stayed on as an inpatient pharmacist. His work experience beyond hospital pharmacy includes health technology assessment and serious reportable events in healthcare. A recipient of the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme awarded by the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong, Harry embarked on his doctoral programme in 2019 with Dr Jenny Lam. He undertakes research in drug delivery that entails the development and characterisation of dry powder biopharmaceuticals for inhalation. His research interests encompass particle engineering through formulation design to improve pulmonary delivery and protective excipients that stabilise proteins in the solid state. Harry is presently a visiting research student at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, King’s College London, under the mentorship of Professor Ben Forbes.
