Xiaojie Sun

Xiaojie Sun

University of Bath

Xiaojie Sun is a PhD student in the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Aerosol Science. Her research integrates aerosol science with crystal engineering to develop inhalable high-dose antibiotic microparticles for the treatment of lower respiratory tract infections in primary care. Prior to her PhD, Xiaojie completed an MSc in Pharmaceutics at China Pharmaceutical University, where she developed a strong foundation in drug formulation and material science. Her academic background and practical research experience have fostered a strong interest in the targeted delivery of therapeutics via inhalation, with a particular focus on employing innovative formulation strategies to tailor the physicochemical properties of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
