CEO, ASTHMA SOCIETY IRELAND
A graduate of University College Cork, Boston College and the European Institute of Communications, Sarah O’Connor has a background in public relations and public affairs, having worked at a PR agency for three years. She worked with clients like Science Foundation Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, ESB and a number of private sector clients. Prior to that, Sarah worked in politics for the Fine Gael party in various research, strategy and communications roles.
In February 2018, Sarah was appointed CEO of the Asthma Society of Ireland. Sarah understands the challenges that people face in managing their asthma due to her personal experience with the condition. She was recently appointed to the Sláintecare Advisory Council by the Minister for Health and is a Board Member of IPPOSI. She is dedicated to using that opportunity to ensure that the patient’s voice and needs are at the core of our health system.
