After graduating from the University of Frankfurt/Main (Germany) in 1990 with a degree in Natural Sciences (Chemistry), Dr Ralf Fischer moved to the University of Mainz (Germany), where he completed his PhD in the field of environmental analysis as a member of the interdisciplinary research group "Cycles, Exchange Processes and Effects of Substances in the Environment". After a short transitional period as a scientific member of staff at the Max-Planck-Institute for Chemistry (Mainz), he started his professional career in the medical field as a sales representative for a well-known pharmaceutical company.
Dr Ralf Fischer now works as Medical Affairs Manager at PARI GmbH, a globally recognised specialist in medical technology with more than 100 years of experience as a manufacturer of respiratory therapy products. He has been gained in-depth knowledge in nebuliser therapy and respiratory diseases during his different roles at PARI over 21 years. As part of this expert work, Dr Ralf Fischer published several posters as author/co-author at ERS international congresses, among others.
