Neil Fullarton is a scientist at Nebu-Flow, where he leads research into the nebulisation of biologics. His work focuses on evaluating the structural and biological integrity of biologics post-nebulisation, supporting the development of inhaled therapeutic macromolecules, including nucleic acids and other advanced modalities.
Neil has presented his findings on the aerosolisation of siRNA at Respiratory Drug Delivery (RDD). He has hands-on expertise in methods for aerosol recovery, physicochemical characterisation, and bioactivity assays such as RT-qPCR and ELISA. His current research investigates the feasibility of delivering clinically relevant doses of gapmer ASOs to the deep lung via inhalation, with a particular focus on preserving structure after nebulisation.
He holds a BSc in Biomolecular Sciences from the University of Glasgow and brings previous experience in molecular biology and assay development from roles in clinical, academic and commercial settings. Neil is particularly interested in translating complex biologics for non-invasive delivery to the lungs and is committed to advancing nebuliser design for emerging classes of inhaled RNA therapeutics.
