Floris Grasmejer

Floris Grasmejer

PureIMS

Floris Grasmeijer is a pharmacist by training and is responsible for the development of dry powder inhalers and formulations in his role as principal scientist at PureIMS. He combines this industry position with teaching and research activities at the University of Groningen. Here he completed a PhD in inhalation technology in 2014. Besides his technical expertise in inhalation formulations and devices, Floris has also gained experience with the preparation of clinical trials with these products. He very much likes the combination of abstract thinking, problem-solving and supervising Masters and PhD students at university, and putting theory to practice by developing products that actually make a difference to the lives of patients at PureIMS. Outside work Floris likes to occasionally fell trees or mudflat hike to one of the Wadden Islands
