Evalyne Jansen

Evalyne Jansen

University of Groningen

Evalyne Jansen is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Groningen, Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy. Her research focuses on the stabilization and pulmonary delivery of biologics, including mRNA lipid nanoparticles, extracellular vesicles, and proteins.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Life Science and Technology (minor in Biomedical Sciences, cum laude) and a Master’s degree in Medical Pharmaceutical Sciences (cum laude), both from the University of Groningen. Her academic background combines pharmaceutical formulation science, inhalation technology, and biopharmaceutical development.
During her PhD, Evalyne has gained extensive experience in spray drying and the use of excipients to enhance the stability and aerosol performance of dry powder formulations. Her work involves the development of inhalable therapies through the stabilization of mRNA LNPs, EVs, and proteins, aiming to ensure biological activity is retained after processing and storage. This research contributes to improving the accessibility, efficacy, and practicality of next-generation respiratory therapeutics.
