Dr. Roy Pleasants

University of North Carolina

Dr. Roy Pleasants, II, PharmD is currently a Clinical Researcher with the Division of Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Durham VA Medical Center in Durham, NC. He has been practicing and teaching at academic centers in adult pulmonary medicine since 1985 including in the hospital and clinic settings.. His research and publication has focused on clinical pharmacology in pulmonary medicine and currently involves inhalational therapies, COPD, asthma, interstitial lung diseases, and clinical drug trials. He is currently Executive Director of the North Carolina Thoracic Society, a state chapter of the American Thoracic Society.
