Dr Darragh Murnane

Professor of Pharmaceutics at the University of Hertfordshire

Paper: Computational and modelling approaches in dry powder inhaler product design

Darragh Murnane is Professor of Pharmaceutics at the University of Hertfordshire and the Past-President of the UK and Ireland Aerosol Society. His research spans materials and formulation science, product manufacture and process design, bioanalysis for the study of drug disposition and biological effect, and the design and use of inhalation devices. He is Deputy Director of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Aerosol Science, and the Director of the Hertfordshire Science Partnership, a programme of 25 academic-industrial research to stimulate economic growth through life sciences innovation. He currently leads the INFORM 2020 Consortium, an EPSRC Future Formulation of Complex Product research programme, developing computational approaches to formulation engineering, design, manufacture and the optimization of inhaler devices.
