Cláudia Costa is an Analytical Scientist in Advanced Analytical Characterization team at Hovione R&D. Cláudia Costa holds a master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology. Her doctoral research was focused on nose-to-brain delivery of lipid-based formulations for epilepsy treatment. She worked as a pharmacist in community and hospital pharmacies, and she was also an invited assistant in the Pharmaceutical Technology lab in the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto. In 2022, she joined Hovione where she works on physical and performance characterization of the formulations, being more focused on oral and nasal inhalation. Overall, Cláudia published 9 articles in peer-review scientific journals and has more than 10 oral communications in nasal field. She contributed to one book chapter, and she has advised over 10 trainees.
