Paper: Reducing Time Requirements for Morphologically Directed Raman Spectroscopy Based In Vitro Bioequivalence Studies via Advanced Optimisation of Analysis Methods

Download Paper

Ben Stafford is a Scientist within the Particle Characterisation team at Intertek Melbourn. He has been with the company for 2 years. Ben has extensive experience in method development and validation for techniques that fall under the particle characterisation umbrella for inhaled and nasal drugs, such as particle/droplet sizing via laser diffraction, morphologically directed Raman spectroscopy and spray pattern/plume geometry. He also has experience in device/product characterisation studies, IVBE packages, and takes part in research activities exploring new analytical capabilities.
Prior to joining Intertek Melbourn, Ben graduated from Durham University with a first class MSci in Natural Sciences (Chemistry and Physics) which included a research project in characterising pharmaceutical cocrystals via solid-state NMR spectroscopy. He later worked as an HPLC analyst at Merck Sharp & Dohme.
In his spare time, Ben plays the saxophone and has taken up running, having recently completed his first charity 10k race. He also enjoys exploring new cities on weekends and seeing live music/performances.
