Anne Zimmermann

Anne Zimmermann

Fraunhofer Institut EMFT

Mrs. Anne Zimmermann is a Medical Engineer with a Master's degree in "Medical Production Technology, Device Engineering and Prosthetics" from Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg. Since October 2023, she has been pursuing her PhD at Fraunhofer Institute for Electronic Microsystems and Solid State Technologies in Munich in the field of piezoelectric micro diaphragm pumps. She is supported by the Institute for Smart Electronics and Systems at University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
Anne presented her paper “Investigation on Microliter Free Jetting Using a Piezoelectric Micro Pump” at the 18th International Joint Conference on Biomedical Engineering Systems and Technologies. Generally, she has a strong interest in medical engineering, having already worked for two years in the research and development of a Munich based company. There she gained experience in the certification of medical robots.
Besides her technical achievements, Anne is currently the PhD spokesperson at her institute, helping other PhD candidates with their work and organizing workshops.
