Paper: Dry Powder Microparticles with Redispersible Clarithromycin Nanocrystals for High Dose Inhalation
Anna Neustock is a pharmacist by training and a PhD student in the group of Prof. Regina Scherließ at the department of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics at Kiel University.
During her pharmacy studies from 2012 to 2016, she gained first insights into the pharmaceutical industry as a short-term intern at Pohl-Boskamp GmbH & Co. KG (Hohenlockstedt, Germany). 2017 she expanded this experience during her practical year at KVP Pharma + Veterinär Produkte GmbH (former subsidiary of Bayer AG, now elanco, Kiel, Germany). She worked in the department of projects and transfer, where she got insights into many projects and innovations at the production site.
Since 2018 she’s working on her PhD project, the development of inhalable Trojan particles. These are dry powder microparticles with a hollow core and a nanocrystal shell. This shall be a new formulation strategy for high-dose inhalation of poorly soluble antibiotics. In addition to her research, she was responsible for the practical teaching of pharmaceutics to pharmacy students from 2018 to 2020 and today, she works on projects with industrial partners.
