Why Innovate? It’s so important it deserves Nobel Prize recognition!
The 2025 Nobel Prize for Economics was awarded for explaining innovation-driven economic growth (1). It is a timely reminder of the importance of delivering innovation to improve patient health, and more specifically for DDL, to seek safer, more effective and sustainable aerosol delivery of inhaled medicines to patients. Elements of the Nobel Prize work include understanding of:
- The dynamics of market dominance, especially its influence on resisting innovation.
- The importance of policies to support new ways of thinking, openness to ideas and bringing together practical, technical and commercial skills to deliver innovation.
