Paper: Turning Down the Heat – Nano Spray Drying of RNA Encapsulating LNPs at Room Temperature

Download Paper Download Presentation PDF

Katrin Wiebe is a PhD student in Pharmaceutical Technology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) Munich and INVITE GmbH, where she has been active since November 2022 as part of the DDIC consortium. She is a licensed pharmacist and holds a B.Sc. in Biomedicine from the University of Würzburg, as well as a Diploma in Pharmacy from the University of Greifswald.

Her research focuses on the formulation and aerosol delivery of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) encapsulating mRNA and siRNA for inhalation-based targeting of the lungs. Within this framework, she investigates both nebulization and nano spray drying processes to enable stable, efficient RNA delivery systems for pulmonary administration.
