Paper: In Vitro and in Vivo Assessment of Nanoporous Amorphous Particles as a Potential Excipient for Inhaled Drug Products

Download Paper

Georgia obtained a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Bristol in 2015 and went on to work as a
post-doctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins University and later at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where
she was appointed as a Researcher in 2018. Between 2021 and 2023, Georgia worked as a Senior
Scientist in the Drug Development (DD) group at Nanologica. Her recent work focuses on the
development of Nanologica’s nanoporous amorphous particle (NAP) platform as a novel dry powder
inhaler excipient, as well as demonstrating its viability as a drug product, across both synthetic and
biologic portfolios. In addition, she has been the academic liaise for Nanologica, interacting with
research groups at several university institutions across Sweden. To date, Georgia has (co-)authored
over 20 publications in international journals and has over 430 citations. In 2020, she also received
the Jacob Wallenberg Foundation Award in Materials Science.
