Wilbur de Kruijf

Resyca BV

Wilbur de Kruijf is general manager and chief technology officer at Resyca BV, devel-oping novel syringe based soft mist inhalers, based on Medspray’s micro spray nozzles. Resyca is a joint venture between Recipharm and Medspray. Before founding Resyca in January 2021, Wilbur has been working at Medspray since 2006. Wilbur has transitioned from a product designer and engineer into a business developer and aerosol scientist with a specialization in nebulizers and soft mist inhalers.
Wilbur (born in 1971) has a background in Industrial Design Engineering (M.Sc. De-sign Engineering 1995, M.Sc. Advanced Industrial Design Engineering 1997, Delft Univer-sity of Technology) with further specialization in medical device development (acc. ISO 13485), design for six sigma and user centered design (human factors).
Before joining Medspray, Wilbur worked almost 10 years for a Dutch design consul-tancy firm, named Indes BV. Here Wilbur has contributed to winning several international design and usability awards for homecare & rehab products and hospital equipment.
Wilbur is a member of ISAM, the international society of aerosols in medicine and he is the secretary of the Dutch medical aerosol scientist network ‘MAD Foundation’.
