She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), China and worked as an intern in the State Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology in Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center during her last year of study. After graduation, she joined Dr. Jenny Lam’s research team in Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy, HKU as a research assistant and then PhD student. The focus of her research project is the development and optimization of peptide-based delivery vectors of for pulmonary administration of nucleic acids.
During her PhD study, she was awarded Simon Wong Pharm Manufacturing Industrial Scholarship, first runner-up in the HKU Interdisciplinary Research Competition 2019 and first runner-up in the HKU Visualise Your Thesis Competition 2019. She has published seven peer-review papers (with three paper as first author) in Journal of Controlled Release (JCR), Molecular Pharmaceutics and Molecules, etc. The JCR paper published recently is featured in the cover story in volume 314. A provisional application has been filed to the USPTO based on this project. She has presented posters in the last two Drug Delivery to the Lungs conferences.
