Suyash is a PhD candidate in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at St. John’s University, New York, with a specialization in Industrial Pharmacy. In 2019, Suyash obtained his Bachelor of Technology degree from the Institute of Chemical Technology, India with a Major in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology.
Under the guidance of Dr. Nitesh Kunda, Suyash is currently working on nanoparticle-based inhalation therapy for the treatment of lung cancer and infectious diseases. His PhD research is majorly focused on developing novel lipid-based nanodrug delivery systems for the delivery of anti-tuberculosis drugs into the lungs. He has commendable experience performing cell and bacteria culture studies and has successfully tested nanoformulations against lung cancer and pulmonary tuberculosis in vitro. In addition, he is quite proficient with dry powder preparation techniques such as spray-drying and freeze-drying. Suyash has published >5 peer-reviewed journal articles and presented his work at major international conferences.
