Nichal holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and Biophysics from the University of Lisbon (2022), where his research focused on computational modeling of Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) for glioblastoma treatment. Since transitioning to industry, in 2022, Nichal has shifted focus to drug development, applying his analytical and modeling expertise to pharmaceutical product design and innovation.
Currently, Nichal is a Drug Product Development Scientist at Hovione, where he contributes to the development and optimization of pharmaceutical formulations, with a focus on inhalation and advanced drug delivery systems. His work has centered on integrating scientific modeling, experimental design, and process development to support robust and scalable drug product solutions.
