I am a chemist formed at B5IDA group, Universidad Simón Bolívar (USB), Caracas, Venezuela, and I am currently studying a Ph.D in Biomedical Science in Sabrina´s Valetti group at Malmö University (MAU), BIOFILMS Research Center for Biointerfaces (BRCB), in Sweden. In collaboration with industrial partners Nanologica A.B. and Iconovo A.B., we aim to make the surface chemistry of mesoporous silica particles suitable to deliver an antibiotic to the lungs against tuberculosis. In general, I expect to be connected to the drug delivery to the lung community to get more experience and interesting discussions about the future of this field to combat infection diseases and pandemics. I participated at the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings (2020-2022) in the representation of Venezuela, USB, and BRCB-MAU, which allowed me to gain more confidence and experience in science.
