Aston Particle Technologies

Paper: Isothermal Dry Particle Coating (iDPC) – Dry Powder Inhaler (DPI) Formulations by Design: Controlled and Controllable Manufacture of Fixed Dose Combinations

Jasdip is a GPhC registered pharmacist holding a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Delivery from Aston University. He is currently Principal Scientist and Project Operations Manager at Aston Particle Technologies (APT). He augments and maintains his professional development in monthly patient-facing duties at a local pharmacy. He was one of the first employees of APT as a senior formulation scientist with initial focus on developing the use of APT’s platform technology, isothermal Dry Particle Coating (iDPC) in Dry Powder Inhalers, both traditional fixed dose combinations and high dose formulations. He has made key contributions to the scale up of the iDPC technology from benchtop to pilot and has championed the application of Quality by Design in formulation optimisation. He currently directs all in-house programmes of research in novel formulations and coordinates collaborative development programmes with partners across the industry from programme design to execution. He maintains an interest in use of the APT technology in small and large molecule formulation as well as in non-inhaled applications (oral / sublingual).

In his spare time he has a passion for Formula 1, is a lapsed cricketer, a husband and father to a boisterous 3 year-old.
