Hernan Cuevas Brun
Hernan Cuevas Brun is Business Development Manager and Aerosol Drug Delivery Scientist at HCmed Innovations. He has over 7 years of experience in the drug delivery field, holding a BS in Biomedical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University and a master’s in business administration. He has previously conducted research on pH and temperature responsive nano-capsules for drug delivery and is currently part of a research team focused on the study of particle size distribution and aerosol characterization of inhaled drugs.

Mr. Cuevas Brun is responsible for the market positioning of HCmed’s nebulisers, supporting the development of drug-nebuliser combination products, while also coordinating the products’ branding and exploring the establishment of new partnerships with global pharmaceutical companies. Moreover, he is involved in the development of new delivery platforms and connected devices, supporting the R&D programs by researching and establishing alliances with new partners. Mr. Cuevas is also in charge of coordinating HCmed’s participation and publications in several international conferences, presenting the findings of the research team.

Huei-An Tsai
Huei-An Tsai started her career in the medical device industry 5 years ago after joining HCmed, a company focused on the development of mesh nebulisers for drug-device combination. Working as a member of the research team, she is involved in the studies of inhaled drug delivery technology and aerodynamic particle size distribution. Equipped with the experiences of test system establishment, method development and routine testing, she is supporting the R&D team to conduct the experiments. She has also contributed to several publications in international conferences.

Currently, Ms. Tsai is primarily working as a project manager for the design and development of HCmed’s new platform – a breath-actuated mesh nebuliser AdheResp, which integrates novel technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness on drug delivery. At the same time, she also supports the technical documentation preparation of the FDA and CE mark submissions.
