Dr Feras Oyoun

Dr Feras Oyoun

Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB)

Feras Oyoun is a postdoctoral researcher at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Belgium. His research focuses on the development and optimization of nanotechnology-based drug delivery systems, particularly for nasal and pulmonary administration. His work aims to improve the physicochemical properties of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), enhance drug delivery efficiency, and investigate the pharmacokinetic behavior of nanoparticle-based formulations.
His current research is conducted within a collaborative project between ULB and CBX Medical, involving close collaborations with Prof. Karim Amighi and Dr. Rémi Rosière at ULB, and Lionel Quataert at CBX Medical. This interdisciplinary work combines pharmaceutical sciences, nanomedicine, and advanced drug delivery approaches to develop innovative therapeutic solutions.
Feras is a pharmacist and obtained his PhD in Nanotechnology and Pharmaceutical Sciences from Université Paris Cité, France. During his doctoral research, he focused on the development of green nanoparticles covalently functionalized with polymers for cancer targeting. His current research interests include microfluidic technologies for the design and optimization of nanomedicines. He has contributed to the field through publications on the integration of microfluidics and machine learning approaches for the optimization of nanoparticle formulations.
