Cláudia Viegas

Universidade do Algarve

Cláudia Viegas is in her 2nd year of the PhD program in Biomedical Sciences. Her PhD project is based in the development and optimization of a polymeric nanoparticle formulation for antibody delivery by inhalation. Also as PhD student, she is a researcher at the Center of Marine Sciences (CCMAR), Universidade do Algarve, Portugal, at the Institute for Bioengineering and Biosciences (iBB), Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal, where is developing her PhD project. She graduated in MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2017 at the Universidade do Algarve. Her current research field is polymeric nanoparticles, protein delivery, structural characterization and spray drying with a focus on lung delivery. In his academic pathway as a student she was distinguished with three awards and in her activity she enrolled in several educational and training activities.
