Annalisa Bianchera is currently Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutical Technology at the Food and Drug Department of the University of Parma, Italy.
She graduated in Health Biotechnology and obtained her PhD in Molecular Biology and Pathology, working on differentiation of placental mesenchymal stem cells for tissue regeneration. During her post-doc activity at Interdepartmental Center for Health product Biopharmanet-TEC, she focused on the use of natural polymers in the formulation of drug delivery systems for tissue regeneration. She was involved in many industrial projects focused on technology transfer and she was the cofounder of M3datek s.r.l., a spin off devoted to the use of 3D printing for the preparation of advanced wound healing products based on biopolymers.
Her research interests include the formulation of biopharmaceuticals, preparation of nanosystems and use of polymers relying on experimental design and multivariate data analysis for oral or pulmonary drug delivery. Since 2019, she shares the role of Professor of Pharmaceutical technology in the Master’s degree in Pharmacy and she is in charge of the course on Advanced Therapeutic Medicinal Products in the Master’s degree in Medical, veterinary and pharmaceutical biotechnologies at the University of Parma.
Dr. Bianchera is author or co-author of 31 peer-reviewed papers and reviews, 2 book chapters and 2 patents.
