Abhimata Paramanandana is a Ph.D. candidate from King’s College London, United Kingdom. In 2011, he obtained his B.Pharm from Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia, and his Master's Degree in Medical Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands in 2017. Currently, he is a certified pharmacist and works as a lecturer in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Airlangga since 2013. Before working in academia, he spent one year working in an Indonesian pharmaceutical company, Bernofarm, as a research and development department staff responsible for raw materials and product analytical method validation.

His work at Universitas Airlangga mainly on improving drug solubility by modifying its solid-state properties and found interest in inhalation drug delivery during his master’s degree after working under Prof. H.W. Frijlink. Currently, his doctoral research is investigating biorelevant in vitro methods for assessing inhaled products under the supervision of Prof. Ben Forbes and Dr. Magda Swedrowska. His key interest is the aerosolized particle collection methods, dissolution methods, and in silico prediction using a physiological based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models.
