The aim of the New Researcher Network as a part of DDL is to develop a broad community of early career scientists to help facilitate discussions surrounding research ideas/challenges, exchanges, joint projects and personal and professional development. New and early career researchers from both academia and industry, as well as PhD students, with a research interest in the field of lung and nose drug delivery are encouraged to join us.

Networking Events at DDL2022 – Hosted by the New Researcher Network Committee
The New Researcher Network Committee hosted two networking events at last year’s DDL Conference in Edinburgh.
Early career researchers and PhD Students were invited to a networking lunch where they met with their peers ahead of the main DDL2022 conference.
The committee also welcomed over 70 attendees to their Career Cocktail event on the first evening of the conference. Two special guests, Prof. Carsten Ehrhardt (Trinity College Dublin) and Mariska Kraaij (Sandoz) were invited to share their career paths in the unconventional form of ‘recipes’ for a successful ‘career cocktail’. The event brought together early career researchers across academia and industry for a lively discussion with the special guests about the benefits, hurdles and turning points of their careers.
