Pharmacy PhD candidate, University of Reading UK

Paper: Solid state modification of ciprofloxacin for high dose dry powder inhalation

Download Paper

Thomas Hibbard is a second year Pharmacy PhD candidate at the University of Reading UK, in combination with Quotient Sciences. His doctoral research and DDL presentation focus on the impact that solid-state modification can have on dry powder aerosolisation properties. This involves the use of cocrystallisation and salt formation methods to achieve high dose dry powder inhalation formulations. Thomas has previously obtained an MPharm degree at the University of East Anglia (2018) and completed registration as a Pharmacist through the Royal Berkshire Hospital (2019). It was whilst working at the hospital that he developed a passion for inhaled therapy and recognises it as a key area of pharmaceutical research. Thomas is excited to present at and attend his first DDL conference this year
