Paper: Probing the effect of USP induction port geometry on aerodynamic performance of dry powder inhalers
Mr. Piyush Pradeep Mehta recently submitted the thesis in the field of Pharmaceutical
sciences at Poona College of Pharmacy, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, India.
He has more than 07 years of working experience in the Pharmaceutical field. Mr.
Mehta is having rich experience in the field of OINDP (Orally Inhaled and Nasal Drug
Products). He has worked in a reputed pharmaceutical company like Cipla R&D,
Mumbai, India. OINDP is his area of expertise. He is well acquainted with basic
concepts and principles of respiratory formulations. He has been instrumental in
completing and designing a few dry powder inhaler (DPIs) products in India.
He has elected as prestigious Newton-Bhabha Fund, Royal Society Of Chemistry (RSC)
Researcher, 2019-2020 owing to his contribution to the field of pulmonary drug
delivery. Mr. Mehta has published more than 40 articles and book chapters related to
his proficiency in several peer-reviewed journals. Mr. Mehta has managed more than 20
international and national conferences, workshops, and scientific programs. He has
been rewarded twice from Woodhead Publishing House, Imprint of Elsevier, USA owing
to his contribution to international books.
In the future, he will be extending his efforts in device designing, device engineering,
formulation development and process development of OINDP products to endure the
important battle against pulmonary disorders.
