Kai Berkenfeld currently holds a position as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Bonn, where he is involved in the EIDEG project. After completing his studies of pharmacy and a compulsory year of externships to become a licensed pharmacist, he spent one year of his doctoral studies at the University of New Mexico (Albuquerque, NM) and obtained a Dr.rer.nat. in pharmaceutics from the University of Bonn. His research interests include the development of pharmaceutical aerosol formulations, DPI devices, and modified analytical methods for aerosol characterization.
